Part-Time Alliance for Resourceful Teaching (PART)

Part-time faculty are a vital part of the UA teaching community. The Part-Time Alliance for Resourceful Teaching is a resource hub meant to equip part-time faculty with the information, skills and resources they need to thrive in their teaching roles.

While part-time faculty play an essential role in delivering quality instruction, their experience differs from that of full-time faculty. They often balance teaching with other professional obligations, leaving less time for course preparation and student support. They may also have less time to connect with their department culture and identify professional development opportunities that support their teaching. This resource helps address those needs by streamlining effective teaching strategies, essential policies and campus support channels in one place so part-time instructors can get oriented and feel included in the academic community.
