“We are excited to introduce our inaugural class of Faculty Fellows,” said Dr. Claire Major, faculty director of the UA Teaching Academy. “These faculty members have demonstrated a commitment to excellence in teaching, and we look forward to supporting them in their professional development and contributions to the university’s teaching community and student learning.”

Each Fellow will receive a stipend each semester over the two-year program, along with professional development opportunities, instructional support, networking opportunities and the chance to provide mentorship to future Teaching Fellows.

The Faculty Teaching Fellows Program operates on a rolling basis, with awards made each academic year. Fellows will be engaged in their projects during the first year and will mentor the next cohort of Fellows during the second year.

“We believe that investing in our faculty members’ professional growth benefits not only the individuals themselves but also our entire university community,” said Major. “Through the Faculty Fellows Program, we aim to foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching and learning.”
